Planting design from the outset
Planting was a key component of this design from the outset and we worked closely with the architects to ensure that their vision of a zoned planting scheme came to life. Each of the four zones has a subtle colour theme and features variations of a species, as well as individual pot styles, all chosen to chime with the zone theme.
Nature in harmony
Zone 1 is pale orange and all the planting in this zone is centred around orange variegation: a statement schefflera tree which blooms orange in the wild, a floor standing cluster of different schefflera, and the orange-tinted leaves of Philodendron ‘Prince of Orange’ in half-moon planters.The half-moon planters are a bespoke touch that perfectly punctuate desk ends without taking up too much floor space. The effect is repeated from zone to zone to create a harmonious progression throughout the space.
Bespoke touches
Bespoke joinery has been used for palisade planter boxes and gantry planting to incorporate planting at multiple levels. Working closely with the architects from the earliest stages of the design really shows in this project –the result is a space alive with striking biophilic design.
