Bold planting for a grand entrance

The entrance to the Aire Park building — home of the TPT Offices — features a striking display of planting which bolsters its high-end appeal. Working to a brief that called for bold, structural planting under high-level indirect sunlight, we delivered a vibrant mix of large palms and textured greenery. Sculptural pots in a variety of shapes and finishes add personality to the space, making the entrance experience welcoming and memorable.

Greenery at every level

Upon arrival at the TPT offices, visitors are greeted by considerately-arranged clusters of living plants in contemporary pots.

We used a mixture of planting across the entire fifth floor of this building, which is targeting BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification as well as a Platinum WELL accreditation. A blend of freestanding, tabletop and ceiling planting provides greenery across multiple levels and workspace zones.

 

Beautifully bespoke

Bespoke joinery with integrated living planting has been used to great effect throughout the space. Freestanding units help to break up the space and delineate areas to provide privacy and focus for desk-based work zones.

Clever solutions for tricky areas

We introduced preserved and replica planting to soften the top edge of freestanding Eden pod units, as these areas would be hard to reach for regular watering and maintenance. The planting really helps to make the booths intriguing and inviting. We conducted a site survey to optimise the arrangement, so that it looks lush and natural, without interfering with accessor window views.

An eye for detail

We took care to ensure that all planting enhanced the sightlines within each space. For instance, the joinery planting in the teapoint area was limited to trailing planting so as not to obscure the central seating area. Elsewhere, single potted specimens are used to accent shelving and zoning furniture.

The planting is supplied on a mixed basis, with the client purchasing the replica and preserved planting, and renting the living plants. The rental element includes our maintenance plan as standard to keep the plants in tip-top condition. By considerately combining living plants with preserved and replica planting, our biophilic designers have created a beautifully balanced solution in this space, ensuring an even distribution of greenery for years to come.
